Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2025. Signed on July 22, 2022.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Jan. 1, 2022: 2%

Effective Jan. 1, 2023: 2%

Effective Jan. 1, 2024: 1.5%

Effective Jan. 1, 2025: 1.5%

Paid holidays: 15 days, including National Indigenous Peoples Day and National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Christmas Eve day.

Vacations with pay: 3 weeks to start, 4 weeks after 5 years, 5 weeks after 8 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for first 8 hours of work after 7.5 hours per day or 37.5 hours per week; double time thereafter. Double time for all work on second day or rest.

Medical benefits: Yukon Building Trades Health and Welfare Plan (group benefit plan).

Pension: As condition of employment, employee will open RRSP account. Employer, employee will each contribute 2% into account.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs or for employee who accepts position outside of bargaining unit. 2 years for time off sick or on LTD benefits or any period of work-related disability.

Call-in pay: Greater of compensation at appropriate overtime rate or compensation equivalent to 4 hours’ pay at straight-time rate. Compensation will be made either in cash or lieu time, at discretion of employee.

Probationary period: 6 months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for any document or written statement related to disciplinary action.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide and pay for all protective devices, clothing, other equipment necessary to properly protect employees from injury and unhealthy conditions. Employer will clean and maintain all safety equipment, devices and clothing at no cost to employees.

Editor’s notes: Special leave: On Jan. 1 of each year permanent full-time employees, with at least 1 year of continuous service, will receive 5 working days of special leave with pay, prorated for all new hires. Unused leave will not be accrued from year to year. Pay for travel: Time and one-half for all hours travelled, minimum 2 hours of pay at straight-time rate. Northern travel allowance: Employer will allocate 8% of base salary as northern travel allowance on employee’s T-4 slips (box 32). Social justice fund: Employer will contribute $50 per year to PSAC Social Justice Fund.
