Renewal agreement: Effective June 22, 2015, to April 30, 2018. Signed on July 22, 2015.

Wage adjustments:

Effective May 1, 2016: 2.5%

Effective May 1, 2017: 2.5%

Shift premium: 15% for employees working on the second or third shift. $4 per hour for employees in the spray/painter/abrasive blaster or water blaster category. $3 per hour for foremen in charge of 5 or more employees in possession of a Better SuperVision certificate.

Paid holidays: 10 days.

Overtime: Time and one-half for hours worked in excess of 8 hours per day Monday to Friday. Double time for hours worked in excess of 12 hours per day Monday to Friday. Time and one-half for all hours worked on Saturday. Double time for all hours worked on Sunday.

Meal allowance: $15 after 2 hours of overtime.

Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay.

Mileage: 55¢ per km.

Sample rates of pay (current, after 2.5% increase):

Painter (major industrial): $33.67 per hour

Painter (minor industrial): $30.24

Painter (commercial and residential): $21

Glazier (major industrial and +$50 million total project): $33.36

Glazier (minor industrial and non-residential between $5-$50 million total project): $30.10

Glazier (all residential and all other projects $1 million and under): $28.25

Glass and metal setter: $25.08

Drywall major industrial projects: $34.10

Drywall (all other work): $28.41

Editor’s notes: Shift work: No employee will be compelled to work 2 consecutive shifts. Employees have the right to 8 hours off between scheduled shifts.
