Renewal agreement: Effective July 7, 2015, to April 30, 2018. Signed on Aug. 13, 2015.
Shift premium: 7% for foremen appointed to supervise a crew of 10 or more employees. 15% for general foremen. 15% for employees working on the second or third shift.
Paid holidays: 10 days.
Overtime: Double time for all hours worked beyond regular working hours. Double time for all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.
Meal allowance: $25 or meal provided after 2 hours of overtime.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours at applicable overtime rate.
Mileage: 54¢ per km.
Editor’s notes: Consolidated fund: Employer will pay 25¢ per hour paid to the Cape Breton Island Building Trades Council, 50¢ per hour paid to the Council Wide Stabilization Fund and 3¢ per hour paid to the Nova Scotia Construction Sector Council.
