Renewal agreement: Effective March 1, 2019 to Feb. 28, 2026. Signed on Feb. 12, 2019.

Shift premium: $2,200 weekend-availability premium per year for owner-operators who make themselves available for weekend dispatches and when called, accept dispatches (must be available minimum of 26 weekends within each 12-month period to qualify).

Paid holidays: 9 days.

Vacations with pay: 1 week to start, 2 weeks after 3 years, 3 weeks after 5 years. Payment for vacation purposes will be $300 for each week of vacation entitlement.

Medical benefits: $90 per month for owner-operator for health and welfare benefits. Owner-operators will be eligible for coverage upon completion of 60 days of service for benefits, except dental benefit coverage for major restorative services for which owner-operators will be eligible after 1 year of service. When owner-operator becomes disabled and becomes eligible for and is receiving STD benefits (weekly indemnity) or LTD benefits, employer will guarantee that owner-operator share of health and welfare premiums costs ($90 per month) is waived provided owner-operator is disabled and equipment is not in service.

Dental: 90% reimbursement for basic services; 50% reimbursement for major restorative services, after deductible of $25 per individual (maximum $50 per family) and maximum $1,000 per individual in each year.

Vision: 1 pair of regular lenses; 1 set of frames (maximum $25); 1 set of contact lenses (maximum $40); prescribed contact lenses for certain corneal disabilities where regular glasses are unsuitable (maximum $200) every 24 months.

Paramedical: Chiropractors, naturopaths, maximum $150 per individual (maximum $300 per family) in each year.

Weekly indemnity: Coverage on first day of accident, eighth day of sickness. Benefit period 52 weeks, $462 per week taxable (maximum benefit of 85% of net earnings).

LTD: Coverage of $1,000 per month taxable.

AD&D: Coverage of $25,000.

Life insurance: Coverage of $50,000.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in family (including in-laws).

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months to start; 24 months after 2 years of service.

Probationary period: 30 calendar days of employment.

Sample rates of per-load pay (current):

Owner operators: 57% of revenue generated by load

Editor’s notes: Hearing aids: 1 hearing aid every 24 months (maximum $250). Waiting time: Employer will pay to owner-operator 90% of time they have been able to collect for waiting time. Suspended orders: Employer will pay 55% on suspended orders. In-transit moves: Employer will pay 75% of monies collected for in-transit moves.
