Renewal agreement: Effective July 23, 2022, to July 22, 2026. Ratified on Aug. 5, 2022.
Wage adjustments:
Effective July 23, 2023: 3%
Effective July 23, 2024: 3%
Effective July 23, 2025: 3%
Paid holidays: 10 days plus 2 floater days.
Vacations with pay: 15 days to start, 20 days after 8 years. 25 days after 15 years, 30 days after 26 years.
Overtime: One and one-half times regular hourly rate.
Meal allowance: $10 if required to work more than 3 hours beyond a regularly scheduled shift of at least eight 8 hours in length.
Medical benefits: 100% reimbursement for prescription drugs, with a $1 co-pay for each prescription.
Dental: Basic routine service covered at 100% to a $2,000 maximum per calendar year. Other dental benefits covered at 50% with varying annual maximums.
Vision: $350 per 24-month period; includes contact lenses.
Paramedical: $500 maximum reimbursement each year once OHIP maximum is satisfied.
Sick leave: Full-time employees will receive PTO hours in lieu of paid sick time.
LTD: 60% of regular earnings.
Life insurance: Basic Life Insurance of two times employee’s annual base salary, with premiums paid by employer.
Pension: Mandatory enrolment in employer pension plan for full-time employees.
Bereavement leave: 5 consecutive and complete work days, irrespective of regular days off and holidays.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours’ pay at hourly rate if called in outside of scheduled hours.
Probationary period: 520 actual hours worked in any period of 18 consecutive months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is xx months.
Safety shoes: Up to $150 each year towards the cost of safety shoes when required.
Uniforms/clothing: 3 sets of uniforms for part-time employees and 4 sets of uniforms to full-time employees.
No cost to employees for required tools.
Sample rates of pay (current, after increase), as of July 23, 2023.
Cage and Coin Cashier: $18.68, rising 2 steps to $19.82.
Slot Attendant: $16.73, rising 2 steps to $17.74.
Gaming Host: $19.90, rising 2 steps to $21.12.
Editor’s notes: $400 every 36 months for the purchase, repair or replacement (excluding replacement batteries) for hearing aids.
