Wage adjustments:

Shift premium: $1.10 per hour for work after normal closing time.
Paid holidays: 12 days including 1 float day when needed to close offices between Christmas and New Year’s, plus one-half day on Christmas Eve and one-half day on New Year’s Eve. When Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve occur on Saturday or Sunday, office will close at noon on preceding working day.
Vacations with pay: 1.67 days per month to start, 2.08 days per month after 10 years, 2.5 days per month after 17 years, 2.92 days per month after 21 years.
Overtime: Servicing staff: Time and one-half for authorized hours in excess of 48 hours in 1 week or 83 hours in biweekly pay period, and all hours worked on Saturday or Sunday or paid holiday. No employee will work more than 100 hours of overtime in any year. When employee works more than 35 hours in pay week, employee will be credited with 1 hour of compensating time for each hour worked over 35 hours in that week, maximum of 16 days in calendar year with up to 12 days carried over. Compensating time will not be earned on any overtime hours paid. Support staff: Time and one-half for authorized overtime in excess of 7 hours in 1 day, 35 hours in 1 week, or any hours worked on Saturday or Sunday, either by payment or compensating time off. Double-time and one-half for hours worked on holiday in excess of 7.
Meal allowance: $20 for breakfast, $25 for lunch, $45 for dinner when incurred in performance of assignments. $20 for employees required to work more than 2 hours of overtime.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for ONA extended health coverage.
Dental: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums for dental plan set out in ONA Group Insurance Master Plan in accordance with ODA rates. Coverage includes 75% for bridges, crowns, inlays and 50% for orthodontics for dependent children up to lifetime maximum of $2,500.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for vision care coverage of $600 every 2 years including laser surgery, up to $110 every 2 years for eye examinations, $600 every 2 years for hearing aids. Employer reimburses up to $75 per year for anti-reflective glare coating on prescription glasses.
Paramedical: Employer provides health care spending account of $500 per year for permanent full-time employees and $225 annual allowance for health and wellness.
Sick leave: No deduction when employee has completed more than one-half of day.
STD: Employees pay premiums for coverage of from first day of disability up to 26 weeks. Weeks at 100% of salary start at 2 for employees with less than 1 year of service to all 26 after 15 years of service. Remaining weeks up are at 66 2/3% salary.
LTD: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums for coverage of 70% of gross salary at date of disability up to $12,000 per month, including contributions to pension plan, after 26-week STD coverage lapses.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for plan.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for group life insurance coverage of double th employee’s gross annual salary up to $325,000. Employees can purchase units of voluntary life insurance of $10,000 each, up to $300,000.
Pension: Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).
Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death of parent, spouse, sibling, parent-in-law, sibling-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, child-in-law, person residing in same household as employee. 1 paid day for death of niece, nephew, aunt, uncle, spouse’s grandparent, parent of employee’s dependent child. May be split to accommodate religious and cultural diversity. Subject to operational requirements, employer will provide time off with pay for employees to attend funeral of coworker.
Seniority – recall rights: 36 months.
Probationary period: 6 months for support staff and 9 months for servicing staff.
Mileage: Whenever employee is required or authorized to use personal vehicle for employer business, employer will pay rate established by Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) under income tax regulations.
