Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2022. Ratified in February 2021. Signed on Feb. 4, 2021.
Wage adjustments:
Effective April 1, 2020: 1%
Effective April 1, 2021: 0.6%
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 6.67 hours for every 156 regularly paid hours, maximum 80 hours, to start, 10 hours for every 156 regularly paid hours, maximum 120 hours, after 1 year. 13.33 hours for every 156 regularly paid hours, maximum 160 hours, after 5 years, 16.66 hours (previously 15 hours) for every 156 regularly paid hours, maximum 200 hours, after 12 years. 1 personal day for full-time employees with 15 or more years of service.
Overtime: Time and one-half for hours in excess of 40 per week or on paid holiday.
Dental: Employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40% of premiums.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage $300 every 24 months for employees and dependants.
Paramedical: Employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40% of premiums.
Sick leave: 10 hours per month, maximum 120 hours (15 days), per year. Unaccumulated sick leave can accrue maximum of 360 hours (45 days).
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Multi-Sector Pension Plan (MSPP). Employees contribute 3.5% of wages, matched by employer.
Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death or serious illness of parent, stepparent, spouse, common-law spouse, child, stepchild, sibling, stepsibling. 3 paid days for death or serious illness of grandparent, parent-in-law, grandchild, fiancée. 1 paid day for death of sibling-in-law, child-in-law, any other second-degree relative living in same household. 3 paid days for employee suffering miscarriage within first 1.5 months from conception. 5 paid days for employee suffering miscarriage after first 1.5 months from conception.
Seniority – recall rights: 2 years.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ overtime pay when called into work outside regular scheduled working hours.
Probationary period: 6 months, may be extended up to 6 additional months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Mileage: $0.45 per kilometre for employees using own vehicle for employer’s business. In lieu of using car, employees will be reimbursed for costs incurred while using public transit.
