Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2026. Signed on Jan. 28, 2022.
Wage adjustments:
Effective March 1, 2023: 2% or CPI, whichever is greater
Effective March 1, 2024: 2% or CPI, whichever is greater
Effective March 1, 2025: 2% or CPI, whichever is greater
Effective March 1, 2026: 2% or CPI, whichever is greater
Shift premium: $0.39 per hour for all hours worked at Surrey warehouse flat deck. $1 per hour for lead-hand warehouse workers. $4 per hour to be paid for entire day as flat-deck designated premium.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 90 hours (80 hours for warehouse workers) or 4% after 1 year, 135 hours (120 hours for warehouse workers) or 6% after 4 years, 180 hours (160 hours for warehouse workers) or 8% after 10 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 8 hours per day; for work on sixth or seventh day or holiday for warehouse workers.
Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $312 per month per eligible employee or owner-operator to Teamsters’ National Benefit Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of parent, spouse, brother, sister, child, parent-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, stepchildren, legal guardian, grandparents, which include spouse’s grandparents and grandchildren.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year for employee or owner-operator or driver of owner-operator who has been on layoff; 18 months after 5 years of service. 90 days when employee or owner-operator receives leave of absence to take position with employer which is beyond scope of bargaining unit.
Probationary period: First 45 days worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for written reprimand or warning letter.
Safety shoes: $125 (previously $100), payable on first cheque of each year, to all employees and owner-operators and drivers of owner operators (new hires in first year of employment, will have allowance pro-rated).
