Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 1, 2022 to Oct. 1, 2025. Signed on Sept. 12, 2022. (First agreement)
Shift premium: $80 per hour for ground instructor. $95 per hour for simulator instructor. $45 per hour for line indoctrination. $110 per hour for ACP line check/check ride. $125 per hour for on-wing training. $25 per hour for scheduled office/admin duties.
Paid holidays: 10 days, plus 1 additional day of holiday.
Vacations with pay: 0.83 days per month to start, 10 days or 4% after 1 year, 15 days or 6% after 3 years, 20 days or 8% after 10 years, 25 days or 10% after 25 years.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.
Sick leave: 60 credits of leave on Jan. 1 of each year. Pilot may carry-over unused credits for future use, maximum 80 credits.
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.
Pension: Employer, employee will contribute to PAL Airlines Defined Contribution Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, common-law partner, child, parent, parent-in-law. 3 days for death of grandparent, grandchild, sibling, relative residing with employee.
Seniority – recall rights: 2 years after layoffs.
Probationary period: 12 months; 6 months for Pilot who immediately prior to employment with employers was employed as pilot with PAL Aerospace or Air Borealis. Period may be extended, maximum 18 months.
Safety shoes: $350 per year for shoes, boots.
Uniforms/clothing: Every pilot will obtain required uniform clothing through employer-designated supplier with exception of footwear, maternity clothing. Employer will provide initial issue of uniform and roller bag upon commencement of employment and replacement pieces as per entitlement schedule. Pilot who requires alternate uniform pieces during pregnancy may purchase navy maternity pants, white-collared maternity shirts and will be reimbursed maximum $300 per pregnancy.

Editor’s notes: Deadhead pay: Pilot will be paid for each deadhead: 50% of scheduled or actual deadhead time, whichever is greater, when pilot is required to deadhead by aircraft or surface transportation. Luggage: Every 2 years from date of hire, employer will provide pilot with choice of 1 roller bag or 1 tote from employer’s supplier. Headset: Every 6 years from date of purchase, employer will reimburse pilot, maximum $500, for purchase or repair of aviation headset.
