Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 7, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2025. Ratified on Feb. 7, 2022. Signed on Feb. 11, 2022.
Shift premium: $1 per hour, minimum 2 hours’ pay, for any temporary assignment as lead-ramp attendant. $1.75 per hour for cargo coordinator.
Paid holidays: 11 days, including National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Vacations with pay: 0.83 days per month or 4% to start, 10 days or 4% after 1 year, 15 days or 6% after 3 years, 20 days or 8% after 10 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half when employee works more than 80 hours in 1 pay period; employee works on statutory holiday.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.
Sick leave: 3 days (24 hours), after 30 days of employment. 1 day (8 hours), maximum 10, for each subsequent month of employment, maximum 10 days per year. Leave carries forward to next year, maximum of 10 days (under no circumstances is unused medical leave paid out).
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at applicable rate.
Probationary period: First 6 months worked or 750 hours, whichever comes last.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months after layoff; 24 months when employee is absent from active employment for any reason. 6 months for employee accepting position with employer outside bargaining unit.
Safety shoes: $250 per year, for up to 2 pairs.
Uniforms/clothing: Employees will receive; 3 shirts; 3 pairs of pants; 2 pairs of shorts; 2 hooded sweatshirts; 1 insulated bib pants or snow pants (1 every 2 years); 1 winter parka (1 every 2 years); 1 jacket (1 every 2 years); gloves (replaced as necessary); winter gloves (replaced as necessary); safety vest (if required, replaced as necessary); winter cap; summer cap; rain suit jacket and pants (1 every 2 years); knee pads (available upon request); hearing protection (if required, replaced as necessary).
