Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2029; signed April 21, 2026

Wage adjustments:

  • 2026: 5%
  • 2027: 2%
  • 2028: 2%

Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Labour Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Day, Victoria Day, Christmas Day, Canada Day, Boxing Day, Civic Holiday, Easter Monday

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks for 0 to 1 years of service; 3 weeks for 1 to 4 years; 4 weeks for 5 to 9 years; 5 weeks for 10+ years

Personal days: 10 unpaid; 3 paid; 2 float days

Sick days: 1 day accumulated for full-time;1 day accumulated on pro-rated basis; up to 5 days may be carried over up to 17 days

Overtime: 1.5 times regular hourly wage above 7.5 hours/day or 37.5 hours/week; lieu time for Saturday/Sunday or after-hours

Employee benefits: Life insurance, AD&D, dependent life, LTD, extended health benefit, dental, vision ($350/24 months), paramedical, health spending account ($300/year)

Bereavement leave: 5 working days for immediate family (spouse, child, stepchild, sibling, parent); 3 days for sister-in-law, step-sister, brother-in-law, step-brother, grandparent, grandparent in-law or grandchild, stepmother, stepfather, aunt, uncle niece, nephew, mother-in-law, father-in-law, daughter-in-law and son-in-law; 2 days for close friend or relative not covered; additional time off for travel over 200 km

Probationary period: 450 hours or 1 year

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months

Discipline: Sunset clause of 24 months

  • Childcare worker: $22.61 rising 3 steps to $24.70
  • Employment coordinator: $32.13 rising 3 steps to $35.13
  • Mental wellness counsellor: $27.57 rising 3 steps to $30.12
  • Youth worker: $24.87 rising 3 steps to $27.17
