Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2019 to April 30, 2023. Signed on April 28, 2020.

Wage adjustments:

Effective May 1, 2019: 2%

Effective May 1, 2020: 2%

Effective May 1, 2021: 2%

Effective May 1, 2022: 2.25%

Shift premium: $1 per hour (previously $0.85 per hour) for employees who work on night shift.

Paid holidays: 10 days, plus 1 floater day (if floater day is not taken by last pay period in April in following year, it will be paid out).

Vacations with pay: 4% of previous vacation year’s T4 earnings to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 4 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 20 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 or 12 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Time and one-half for all work on scheduled days off (after employee has worked equivalent of normal scheduled hours in pay period for employees on 12-hour rotation).

Medical benefits: Parrish & Heimbecker Flexible Benefit Plan.

Sick leave: 8 hours for every month worked, maximum 680 hours. Unused portion of employee’s sick leave will accrue for future use. Payable at two-thirds of normal hourly base rate for first 3 weeks’ absence; 100% thereafter, total of 17 weeks.

Pension: Employees will join group RRSP on second anniversary of date of hire. Employee will contribute minimum 4% (previously minimum 3%), employer will match contributions, maximum 6%.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse (including common-law spouse), child, stepchild, parent. 3 days for death of mother-in-law, father-in-law, stepparent, brother, sister, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent of employee or employee’s spouse, grandchild of employee or employee’s spouse, any relative in employee’s household.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs; 3 months if employee accepts position outside bargaining unit.

Call-in pay: Minimum of 3 hours’ at applicable overtime rate.

Probationary period: 3 calendar months (employee absent due to illness, injury, approved leave of absence of 5 days or more will have probation period extended by number of days absent).

Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for discipline memoranda.

Safety shoes: $185 per year (previously $165 per year) for safety footwear. Additional annual equivalent allowance will be provided to employees who work outdoors.

Uniforms/clothing: All employees will wear uniforms provided by employer.

Mileage: $0.50 per kilometre for employee using own vehicle for business use.
