Wage adjustments:
Effective Sept. 1, 2016: $0.35 per hour.
Effective Sept. 1, 2017: $0.35 per hour.
Shift premium: Shop lead hand: $2,560 per year.
Paid holidays: 9 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 2 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 16 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 26 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for hours worked after 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. May be converted to time off in lieu, to be used by Aug. 15 each year.
Medical benefits: 100% premiums paid by employer. $400 health spending account.
Dental: 100% premiums paid by employer.
Vision: 100% premiums paid by employer.
Sick leave: 2 days per month.
STD: 100% premiums paid by employee.
LTD: 100% premiums paid by employee.
Life insurance: 100% premiums paid by employee.
Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan or employer contributes 50% of the employee’s contribution to an RRSP, maximum 5% of annual salary.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours, paid at time and one-half.
Probationary period: 65 days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Uniforms/clothing: $300 per year.
