Renewal agreement: Effective June 4, 2023 to May 31, 2025. Signed on June 4, 2023.

Shift premium: $2 per hour for stewards. $2 per hour dual-ticket premium for employees who possess 2 or more applicable journeyperson or applicable Red Seal tickets and uses both tickets or perform tasks under both trades.

Paid holidays: All employees will receive 4% of base wage rate for all hours worked in lieu of following holidays: New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Employees required to work general holiday will receive overtime pay for all hours worked in addition to holiday pay.

Vacations with pay: Employer will consider vacations at times requested considering business requirements 6% of base wage for all hours worked as vacation pay, paid to employees each pay period.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 regular, straight-time hours per day and 40 regular, straight-time hours per week.

Medical benefits: CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund.

AD&D: Coverage of $100,000.

Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000.

Pension: CLAC Group RSP.

Bereavement leave: 3 days to make arrangements for and to attend funeral of spouse, adult interdependent partner, child, legal or adult dependant, father, mother, parents-in-law, legal guardian, brother, sister.

Probationary period: 90 calendar days.

Uniforms/clothing: $50 per month clothing/boot allowance to all employees, paid on last pay cheque of each month. Employer will furnish employees with safety equipment (including safety glasses and fire-retardant coveralls) and rain gear if and when required.

Tool allowance: $25 per day, subject to tax, payable on each pay period for mechanics.

Editor’s notes: Retention incentive: $1.50 per hour for all hours worked, paid once in June, once in December of each year. Lodging and meals: $160 daily for overnights while working away from shop; $185 daily for Wood Buffalo region. Education fund: Employer will contribute $0.05 per hour to union education fund for all hours worked by all employees.
