Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2023 to Mar. 31, 2027.
Paid holidays: 14 days.
Vacations with pay: A physician shall accumulate vacation credits. Maximum 15 credits to start. Maximum 20 credits after 2 years. Maximum 25 credits after 9 years. Maximum 30 credits after 19 years.
Overtime: In lieu of payment for authorized overtime a physician shall receive time off work equivalent to the amount of overtime.
Medical benefits: Extended Health Benefit (EHB) Plan.
Dental: Dental Services Plan.
Vision: Vision Care Plan.
Sick leave: Sick leave credits accrued during the first 4 years of calendar service at the rate of 3.625 hours for each 72.5 hours of accumulated service and at the rate of 7.25 hours for each 72.5 hours of accumulated service after the first 4 years.
LTD: The current Long Term Disability Plan as is applicable to the M.G.E.U.- Government Employees' Physician Services Agreement shall be maintained subject to a maximum cost of 1% of payroll funded by Manitoba.
Bereavement leave: 4 day in the event of the death of a parent, step-parent, spouse, child, or step-child. 3 days in the event of the death of a brother, step-brother, sister, step-sister, ward of the physician, or relative permanently residing in the physician's household.
Call-in pay: A physician who is required to provide stand-by or on-call coverage for a 24-hour period shall be paid by the Employer in accordance with the On-call Specialist rate.
Severance: Physicians with 9 or more years of accumulated service whose services are terminated as a result of retirement in accordance with the provisions of The Public Service Superannuation Act, or death, shall receive 1 week's pay for each complete year of accumulated service or portion thereof, but the total amount of severance pay shall not exceed fifteen 15 weeks' pay.
Editor’s notes: Physicians entitled to up to 8 working days leave of absence with pay per fiscal year for the purpose of attending seminars or courses.
