Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2020 to Feb. 1, 2024. Ratified on Nov. 22, 2019. Signed on Feb. 1, 2020.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Feb. 1, 2020: 1.5%

Effective Feb. 1, 2021: 1.5%

Effective Feb. 1, 2022: 1.5%

Effective Feb. 1, 2023: 1.5%

Shift premium: $1.20 per hour for employees who work afternoon shift. $1.25 per hour for employees who work night shift. $2 per hour for lead-hands. $2.68 per hour for maintenance tickets. $0.59 per hour for traffic coordinators.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 4 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 20 years. Employees who have extenuating circumstances may move vacation from 1 year to following year in increments of not less than 1 week.

Overtime: Time and one- half for all work on sixth day (for employees on 5-day schedule); double time for all work on seventh day. Time and one-half for all work on fifth day (for employees on 4-day schedule); double time for all work on sixth or seventh day. Time and one-half for all hours worked for first additional shift in each workweek rotation; double time for all hours worked on second or more additional shifts worked in same week rotation (for employees on 12-hour workweek shift rotation). Time may be banked, maximum 80 regular hours (maximum 72 hours may be taken as time off per year). Unused banked overtime may be carried over into following year, however bank may not exceed 80 hours at any given time.

Meal allowance: $15 will be included in employee’s pay cheque if actual finish time exceeds anticipated finish time during overtime work.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums.

Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. Coverage of 90% for preventive; 80% for other basic; 85% for restorative. 60%) for orthodontic, maximum $3,000 lifetime.

Vision: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. $325 every 2 years.

Paramedical: $50 per visit, maximum $500 per year for massage. $40 per visit, maximum $500 per year for chiropractic. Maximum $2,000 per year.

Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums.

Sick leave: 56 hours of absence due to bona fide illness (4.7 hours for each month of employment for employees with less than 1 year of service). All unused sick hours at end of year will be paid by Jan. 15 of following year at 100% of unused hours; if employee uses any sick hours during year, employee will be paid 75% for unused hours.

LTD: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums.

AD&D: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums.

Life insurance: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums.

Pension: Employer will match employee’s contribution, maximum 3% of employee’s earnings, into group RSP; maximum 5.5% (previously maximum 5.25%) after 8 years of service.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of wife, husband, legal dependant, child, father, mother, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law; 1 day for death of grandmother, grandfather, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew (provisions will be interpreted to include steprelatives, same-sex, common-law spouses). Additional 2 days may be given.

Seniority – recall rights: Equal to seniority to start; 12 months after 12 months of service; 24 months after 60 months of service.

Probationary period: 480 hours actually worked.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for warnings, disciplinary actions; 24 months for warnings or disciplinary actions related to major health and safety violations.

Severance: 2 weeks' pay for each year of service, maximum 54 weeks, for employees (with 1 year of service) whose employment is terminated due to technological change; closure of whole or any part of operation; loss of business.

Safety shoes: $240 per year, payable on Jan. 15 each year. All footwear must have steel-toe caps and puncture-resistant soles (green patch).

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide 3 trousers; 2 sweatshirts; 5 T-shirts; 2 golf shirts; 1 jacket every 2 years; 1 toque each year; plus 5 standard coveralls for maintenance/sanitation employees. Employer will supply any employee required to wear rubber boots when needed. For employees working in quality assurance employer will also issue 4 lab coats per year. (When employer considers it to be appropriate: 1 or more pairs of coveralls in lieu of shirts and trousers, on basis of 1 pair of trousers and 2 shirts being equivalent of 1 pair of coveralls).

Tool allowance: Employer will provide insurance for maintenance employees who are required to have own tools at work (insurance will cover fire damage, maximum $2,000).

Temporary: $18.58 rising 4 steps to $19.72

Probationary: $21.44 rising 4 steps to $22.42

Shipper: $28.73 rising 4 steps to $30.49

Line drivers: $28.73 rising 4 steps to $30.49

Receiver: $29.41 rising 4 steps to $31.21

Floater: $29.41 rising 4 steps to $31.21

Machine operator: $28.73 rising 4 steps to $30.49

QA technician: $29.94 rising 4 steps to $32.04
