Renewal agreement: Effective June 23, 2018 to June 22, 2023. Signed on Dec. 5, 2018.
Paid holidays: 10 days, plus day before Christmas.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 12 years. It is compulsory for all employees to take vacations during period from Feb. 1 to Jan. 31.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours (or 10 hours, if 10-hour shifts are established) per day or 40 hours per week.
Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $489 per month (previously per $465 month) to Teamsters Local Union Health and Welfare Plan for each eligible employee.
Pension: Employer will contribute $355 per month to Teamsters of Ontario Pension Plan for each eligible employee.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, children. 3 days for death in immediate family (mother, father, brothers, sisters, in-law relationships, grandparents). Employee may request to extend time allowed for leave which will not be unreasonably denied but will be unpaid.
Seniority – recall rights: 18 months.
Probationary period: 90 calendar days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.

Border ambassadors: $18.23 rising 5 steps to $20.84
New hires
0 to 3 months: full rate less $1
4 to 12 months: full rate less $0.50
After 12 months: full rate
Casuals: full rate less $1
Editor’s notes: Union fund: Employer will contribute $0.05 per hour for each hour worked by all bargaining unit employees to Teamsters, Local 879 union advancement fund. Personal days: 2 personal days in following calendar year for full-time employees who have 1 year of service.
