Wage adjustments:

Shift premium: $2.25 per hour (previously $2 per hour) for all hours worked on evening shift (3 p.m. to 11 p.m.) for LPNs, HCAs. $2.75 per hour (previously $2.50 per hour) for all hours worked on night shift (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.) for LPNs, HCAs. $2.25 per hour (previously $2 per hour) for all hours worked on day shift Saturday and Sunday (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.) for LPNs, HCAs. $3.25 per hour (previously $3 per hour) for all hours worked on evening shift Saturday and Sunday (3 p.m. to 11 p.m.) for LPNs, HCAs. $4.25 per hour (previously $4 per hour) for all hours worked on night shift Saturday and Sunday (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.) for LPNs, HCAs. $1.50 per hour (previously $1.25 per hour) for all work between 4 p.m. and 7 a.m. for all other classifications. $2 per hour (previously $1.75 per hour) for all hours worked between 12:01 a.m. Saturday and 11:59 p.m. Sunday for all other classifications. $1 per hour (previously $0.60 per hour) to health-care aide acting as trainer (to educate, supervise and evaluate) students in any specialized practice of training program.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 4 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7.5 hours per day or 37.5 hours per week. Double time after 3 hours of overtime.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums. 100% reimbursement for basic dental services, including maintenance check-ups, fillings, X-rays, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, denture repairs.
Paramedical: Clinical psychologist: $20 per visit, maximum of $100 per year. Naturopath: $4 per visit, maximum of $100 per year.
Sick leave: 12 days per year (previously 10 days per year).
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $30,000.
Pension: Employer will establish an employee self-directed, registered retirement savings plan. Employer will match contribution, maximum 3% (previously 2%).
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse (same or opposite gender including common-law who has cohabitated with employee for at least 1 year), fiancé(e), child, parent, stepparent, siblings, stepbrother, stepsister, current in-law relationships (mother, father, brother, sister, son or daughter), grandparents, grandchildren). 2 additional days for travel more than 250 kilometres away. 1 day for death of other relative, close friend.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Call-in pay: Greater of overtime for hours worked or minimum 3 hours at basic pay.
Probationary period: 450 hours worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.
Safety shoes: $200 per year for CSA-approved safety footwear.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply and launder aprons, vests, ties for all dietary aides, HCAs, LPNs, housekeepers. Employer will supply 3 pairs of work pants, 3 shirts to all maintenance employees. Employer will supply and launder jackets, aprons, hats, pants to all cooks.
