Wage adjustments:

Shift premium: Time and one-half when employee is recalled to duty during paid rest break and is not given full paid rest break later in shift. Time and one-half for first shift when change is made in shift and employee is not given 3 calendar days’ notice. Licensed practical nurses, health care aides: $2 per hour for all hours worked on evening shift (3 p.m. to 11 p.m.) Monday to Friday; $2.50 per hour for all hours worked on night shift (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.) Monday to Friday; $2 per hour for all hours worked on day shift (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.) Saturday 12:01 a.m. to Sunday 11:59 p.m.; $3 per hour for all hours worked on evening shift (3 p.m. to 11 p.m.) Saturday 12:01 a.m. to Sunday 11:59 p.m.; $4 per hour for all hours worked on night shift (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.) Saturday 12:01 a.m. to Sunday 11:59 p.m. All other employees: $1.50 per hour for all hours worked between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. $2 per hour for all hours worked between Saturday 12:01 a.m. to Sunday 11:59 p.m.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 75% and 4% to start, 3 weeks or 112.5 hours or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 150 hours and 8% after 8 years. Employee will receive vacation pay at their basic rate of pay for all vacation earned upon termination.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7.5 hours per day or 75 hours per biweekly pay period.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums. 100% reimbursement of basic services (maintenance check ups, fillings, Z-rays, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, denture repairs).
Paramedical: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums. Maximum $250 per year per type of practitioner (chiropractor, osteopath, naturopath, podiatrist, physiotherapist, massage therapist, speech therapist, psychologist).
Sick leave: 56 hours per year will be credited to employees who have completed probationary period.
AD&D: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums. Coverage of $30,000.
Life insurance: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums. Coverage of $30,000.
Pension: Employee will contribute 2% per hour worked, matched by employer, into employee self-directed RRSP
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse (same or opposite gender including common-law who has cohabitated with employee for at least 1 year), fiancé(e), child, parent, stepparent, siblings, stepbrother, stepsister, current in-law relationships (including mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter, grandparents, grandchildren)). Employer may extend bereavement leave by 2 additional days for total travel requirement of more than 250 kilometres. 1 day may be given for death of another relative or close friend.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs.
Probationary period: 450 hours worked; period may be extended maximum 150 hours worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for employee who is subject to disciplinary action.
Severance: 1 week per year, maximum 8 weeks.
Uniforms/clothing: $0.08 per hour worked (payable on biweekly basis) for all employees who are required by employer to wear uniform.
