Renewal agreement: Effective March 1, 2023 to Feb. 28, 2027. Signed on June 7, 2023.

Shift premium: 30% for all regular hours scheduled from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday to Sunday; 15% for all regular hours scheduled on Saturday and Sunday between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Paid holidays: 11 days, including New Brunswick Day, National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, plus 2 floater days. Employee who works on Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve will be paid 2.5 times regular hourly rate for all time worked between 5 p.m. and midnight.

Vacations with pay: 1 days per month, maximum 10 days, to start, 80 hours after 1 year, 120 hours after 3 years, 128 hours after 6 years, 136 hours after 7 years, 144 hours after 8 years, 152 hours after 9 years, 160 hours after 10 years, 168 hours after 11 years, 176 hours after 12 years, 184 hours after 13 years, 192 hours after 14 years, 200 hours after 15 years, 208 hours after 21 years, 216 hours after 22 years, 224 hours after 23 years, 232 hours after 24 years, 240 hours after 25 years. Employees can carry over maximum 5 days of earned vacation into next calendar year.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours in 1 day or 40 hours in 1 week. First 4 hours at the rate of time and one-half for overtime occurring immediately following regular shift without break; double time thereafter. Double time for all overtime worked on Sunday or holiday. Time may be banked and taken as time off in lieu, maximum 10 days per year. Maximum 5 days may be carried over into next year; all other additional unused banked time will be paid out on last pay of December.

Meal allowance: $23 (previously $20) meal per diem when employees work overtime for 2 hours or more either at beginning or end of regular shift.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse (including common-law spouse), parent, child (including adopted child), sister, brother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, any relative residing in employee’s household. 3 days for death of employee’s parent’s spouse (including common-law spouse), grandfather, grandmother, father-in-law’s spouse (including common-law spouse), mother-in-law’s spouse (including common-law spouse). 1 day to attend funeral of sister in-law, brother-in-law, aunt, uncle or when requested to act as pallbearer. Employer may extend leave, maximum 2 days, when sufficient travel is involved.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months following layoff.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at time and one-half times; double time on Sunday or holiday.

Probationary period: 6 months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for disciplinary records.

Severance: 2 weeks’ to start; 3 weeks’ after 5 years; 4 weeks’ after 10 years.

Safety shoes: Maximum $265 per year towards cost of safety footwear (safety boots, safety shoes, rubber boots).

Mileage: $0.39 per kilometre to employees who drive own vehicles on employer business.

Editor’s notes: On-call pay: $43 per day (previously $42 per day); additional $13 per day when employee is on call on holiday. Annual flu vaccination: Employee will be reimbursed, maximum $25, when employee cannot reasonably take advantage of employer-sponsored vaccination clinics. Meal reimbursement: Employees are eligible for maximum $75 per day per diem when employees travel on employer business.
