Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 25, 2019 to Jan. 24, 2021. Ratified on Jan. 19, 2019. Signed on Feb. 2, 2019. (First agreement)
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for designation level 1 first-aid attendants; $1 per hour for designation level 2 first-aid attendants. $0.50 per hour worked for employees working afternoon shift (any shift that begins at 1:30 p.m. or later). $1 per hour for qualified stickers who perform function in live end.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 10 days or 4% after 1 year, 15 days or 6% after 5 years, 20 days or 8% after 10 years. There will be no carry over of vacation from 1 calendar year to next.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of 8 or 10 hours per day or 40 hours per week; for all work on Saturday (unless on flexible work schedule). Double time for all hours worked after 12 hours worked.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums for Pacific Blue Cross Plan, which is mandatory for employees. After 6 months of service, employer pays 50% of MSP (Medical Services Plan) premium, while such premiums continue to exist.
Vision: $250 every 24 months for prescription work safety glasses.
Sick leave: 3 days per year for those employed prior to certification of union.
Pension: Employer will contribute to existing RRSP program.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, grandfather-in-law, grandmother-in-law, grandson, granddaughter, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepmother, stepfather, stepchildren of employee). Employee may extend their leave for up to 7 unpaid working days, if attending funeral out-of-province.
Seniority – recall rights: 5 workdays.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours at regular rate or for hours worked at applicable overtime rate, whichever is greater.
Probationary period: 3 months.
Safety shoes: $200 per year for steel-toed safety footwear for maintenance employees; $180 per year for steel-toed safety footwear for drivers, regular shipping department employees.

Employees who are above wage scale on ratification will receive $0.30 per hour off-scale increase effective first Monday following ratification.
Employees who are above wage scale at start of second year of agreement, will receive $0.35-per-hour wage increase.
Editor’s notes: Doctor’s notes: Employer will pay physician fee, maximum $55, for report when employer requires employee to provide physician’s note to substantiate absence due to sickness or injury.
