Renewal agreement: Effective Nov. 12, 2017, to June 30, 2020. Signed on Nov. 10, 2017.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Nov. 12, 2017: $1.50 per hour
Effective Nov. 12, 2018: $1.75 per hour
Effective Nov. 12, 2019: $0.75 per hour
Shift premium: $4 per hour above their current journeyman or Red Seal journeyman basic hourly rate for foremen.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: Vacation pay of 10% weekly will be paid in accordance with New Brunswick Vacation Pay Act. Vacation time off will be taken at mutually convenient time arranged between employee and employer.
Overtime: Double time for all work after 8 hours per day. Double time for all work on Saturday, Sunday, statutory holidays. 
Meal allowance: Hot meal or $25 after overtime more than 2 hours past regular shift and each subsequent 4 hours thereafter. 
Medical benefits: Employees will contribute $0.05 per hour worked, employer will contribute $6.82 per hour worked to New Brunswick Carpenters Health Insurance Trust Fund
Pension: Employer will contribute $3.65 per hour to purchase pension benefits.
Bereavement leave: 7 days for death of wife, child, mother, father. 4 days for death of brother, sister, grandparent, grandchild.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at straight-time basis.
Safety shoes: Employee will be responsible to provide own CSA-approved work boots/footwear at all times.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide safety vests/jackets, raincoats, rubber boots, safety helmets, gloves, safety goggles.
Tool allowance: All power tools will be supplied by employer. Employer will be responsible for all tool damage due to fire, theft, maximum liability of $1,000.
Mileage: $0.47 per kilometre (previously $0.46 per kilometre) for employee working beyond 15-kilometre free radius zone city or town hall of Saint John, Sussex, St. Andrews or Gagetown. 
Sample rates of hourly pay (current):
Apprentices
First year (12 months): 75% of journeyman’s rate
First sector completed: 80% of journeyman’s rate
Second sector completed: 85% of journeyman’s rate
Third sector completed: 90% of journeyman’s rate
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 4.6% increase):
Red Seal carpenters: $29.75 rising 2 steps to $31.11
Scaffolders: $28.70 rising 2 steps to $30.06
Journeyman carpenter: $28.34 rising 2 steps to $29.70
Editor’s notes: Room and board allowance: $110 per day (previously $105 per day) when employer sends employee to job beyond 80-kilometre radius. Employer will pay mileage to and from job site after every 30 days of employment. Training fund: Employer will contribute $0.80 per hour to Carpenters Training Trust Fund. Education fund: Employer will contribute $0.12 per hour to Saint John Construction Association Industrial Relations and Education Trust Fund.
