Shift premium: $1.60 per hour for all hours worked between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday and Friday all hours worked between midnight and 7 a.m. $2.20 per hour for all hours worked between 6 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday. $2 per hour for hours worked between 10 p.m. and midnight Monday to Thursday.
Paid holidays: 11 days plus 1 additional floating holiday per year.
Vacations with pay: 15 days to start, 20 days after 8 years, 25 days after 15 years, 30 days after 22 years. Employee may carry over maximum 5 days of leave from 1 year to next (in special circumstances, employer may approve carry-over of maximum 5 additional days).
Overtime: Double time for all hours worked in excess of normal hours of work (may be banked).
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employee will contribute 8% (previously 7.75%) and employer will contribute 8% (previously 8.25%) in Public Employees’ Pension Plan (PEPP).
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year after definite leave of absence without pay. 3 years after layoffs. 3 years for employee on wage-replacement benefits (workers’ compensation benefits, SGI benefits, LTD). 18 months (with possibility of extension to 24 months) for employer on leave due to prolonged illness or injury.
Call-in pay: Paid overtime for actual hours worked, minimum 2 hours of pay.
Probationary period: 6 months for employees in pay bands 1 through 4; 12 months for employees in pay bands 5 through 12.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for disciplinary documents. Employer may consider employee’s request to have disciplinary documents removed after 1 year. 5 years for disciplinary documents resulting from harassment (employer may consider employee’s request to have disciplinary documents resulting from harassment removed after 2 years).
Severance: 1 week’s pay for every year of service, maximum 19 weeks; 2 weeks’ pay for every of service, maximum 60 weeks, after 19 years of service.
