Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 1, 2021 to July 31, 2025. Signed on Nov. 8, 2021.

Shift premium: $3 per hour when line-service technician acts as lead-hand. $0.50 per hour for employees working weekend shifts.

Paid holidays: 10 days, including National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, plus 1 personal floating holiday on employee’s birthday or other date. Employer will allow employees to exchange Nov. 11 Remembrance Day statutory holiday to August civic holiday if majority of employees agree.

Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 10 days, to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half.

Medical benefits: Single coverage employees pay 50% of monthly premium; family coverage employees pay 25% of monthly premium for group insurance program.

Sick leave: 7 days per year for bona fide illness.

Bereavement leave: 10 days for death of immediate family member (spouse, common-law partner, employee’s father and mother, spouse or common-law partner of father or mother, employee’s children, children of employee’s spouse or common-law partner, grandchild, brothers, sisters; grandfather, grandmother, father and mother of spouse or common-law partner of employee, spouse or common-law partner of father or mother, any relative of employee who resides with employee).

Seniority – recall rights: 12 consecutive months after layoff. 6 months for employees promoted to supervisor.

Call-in pay: $100 flat fee or 4 hours of pay at time and one-half, if time worked is longer than 2.5 hours.

Probationary period: First 6 months of employment.

Safety shoes: $150 per year per employee for safety boots or shoes from authorized store. Employee must have 1 year of service to qualify for allowance.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide: 1 pair insulated work gloves; 7 pants; proper de-icing clothing; 11 shirts; 1 pair snow pants; 1 parka. Rainwear will be provided. Employer will provide shorts during warm weather if majority of employees desire them.
