Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2026. Signed on Sept. 27, 2023.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Jan. 1, 2022: 3.5%

Effective Jan. 1, 2023: 2.5%

Effective Jan. 1, 2024: 2.5%

Effective Jan. 1, 2025: 2.5%

Effective Jan. 1, 2026: 2.5%

Paid holidays: 11 days, including St. John’s Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Vacations with pay: 18 days to start, 23 days after 10 years, 28 days after 19 years, 33 days after 29 years. Employee will be credited 1-time entitlement of 5 days of vacation leave on first day of month of employee’s second anniversary of service.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Sick leave: 1.25 days per month.

LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Pension: Canadian Port Authorities Pension Plan.

Bereavement leave: 7 days for death in immediate family (father, stepfather, mother, stepmother, brother, sister, spouse, common-law spouse, child, stepchild, child of spouse, ward of employee, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandchild, relative residing in employee’s household, person who stands in place of relative for employee whether or not there is any degree of consanguinity between person and employee). Employee may be granted additional maximum 3 days for travel related to death. 2 days for death of grandparent. 1 day for death of son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, uncle.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for employee transferred or promoted to position which is excluded from bargaining unit. 15 months after layoffs.

Call-in pay: Greater of pay at applicable overtime rate or 4 hours’ pay at time and one-half.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for notices of disciplinary action.

Severance: 2 weeks’ pay for first year of service; 1 week’s pay for each succeeding year of service, maximum 28 weeks’ pay. 1 weeks’ pay for second or subsequent time, maximum 27 weeks’ pay.
