Wage adjustments:
Effective September 2014: 2%

Medical benefits: Company pays costs of plan.

Sick leave: 20 days per school year. Can be carried over to a maximum of 40 days in 2nd year, 60 days in 3rd year, 80 days in 4th year, 100 days in 5th year, 120 in 6th year, 130 in 7th year.
STD: Employees pay cost of plan.
LTD: Employees pay cost of plan.
Life insurance: Cost of Manitoba Public School Employees’ Group Life Insurance Plan shared by company and employees.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death or serious illness of spouse, child, parent, fiancé, or fiancee. 3 days for death or serious illness of sibling, grandparent, grandchild, or in-law. 1 day for death of uncle or aunt or to attend a funeral as pallbearer.

Class 1 teacher: $44,913
Class 2 teacher: $52,816
Class 3 teacher: $60,659
Class 4 teacher: $52,714 rising in 10 stages to $80,527
Class 5 teacher: $56,453 rising in 10 stages to $85,104
Class 6 teacher: $60,122 rising in 10 stages to $90,357
Class 7 teacher: $63,780 rising in 10 stages to $95,396
Principal’s allowance: $16,550 + (number of students x $10.28) + (number of staff x $111.28)
Principal – divisional student support services allowance: $28,727
Evening school teacher: $29 per hour
Class 0-3 substitute teacher: $128.11 per day
Class 4-6 substitute teacher: $170.32 per day
Editor’s notes: Substitute’s pay: If a teacher is called in for a half-day or full day and no work is required, the substitute will received a half-day or full day of pay.
Family leave: 5 days for emergency medical issues involving employee’s spouse, children or parents. Major religious holy days: 3 days per school year. Professional development fund: $110,000 per year for teacher professional development. Effective September 2017: $120,000.
