Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2025. Signed on Oct. 25, 2021.
Wage adjustments:
Effective April 1, 2021: 1.75%
Effective April 1, 2022: 1.75%

Effective April 1, 2024: 1.75%
Shift premium: $3 per hour for work on Sunday for full-time service advisors and support representatives hired prior to April 7, 2010. $1 per hour to all employees for all regular hours worked on Sunday for employees hired as service advisors, support representatives, assignment representatives after April 7, 2010.
Paid holidays: 13 days, including Remembrance Day or floating holiday, Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve, Thursday immediately before Good Friday or Easter Monday or floating holiday.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 16 years, 1 day for each year of service after 16 years, maximum 10 additional days vacation.
Overtime: Double time for those hired prior to April 7, 2010; time and one-half for those hired after April 7, 2010. Time may be banked, maximum 5 days’ accumulation per year. Any banked time left on April 30 each year will be paid out.
Meal allowance: $12 (previously $10) when employee is required to works more than 2 hours beyond normal shift and every 5 hours thereafter.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 100% premiums.
Vision: Employer will contribute 100% of billed premiums for (or cover cost of) eyeglasses (including frames, lenses, repairs, contact lenses) and eye exams, maximum $200 per person for 2 years, (employee, spouse, dependent children).
Paramedical: Maximum coverage of $300 combined for chiropractic and massage therapy.
Sick leave: 3 noncumulative casual sick days; 3 non-cumulative personal days on Jan. 1 of each year. Employee leaving after 5 years of service, or estate, will receive 50% of unused, vested sick-pay credits or 6 months’ pay, whichever is less, in cash payable on termination, retirement, death or sale of employer.
STD: Coverage of 70% of gross straight time pre-disability pay from first day of accident or hospitalization and third day of illness, maximum 15 weeks.
LTD: Coverage of 75% of gross straight time pre-disability pay.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% premiums.
Pension: Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of mother, father, spouse (including common-law), children, stepmother, stepfather, stepchildren. 3 days for death of common-law spouse’s father or mother, brother, sister, spouse of employee’s father-in-law or mother-in-law (including common-law spouse), grandparents, grandchildren, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepbrother, stepsister, stepgrandparents, stepgrandchild, any relative of employee who resides in employee’s household. Additional 2 days when employee attends funeral service which takes place outside District of Thunder Bay. 1 day on day of funeral when employee acts as pallbearer or performs official function.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours at prevailing rate applicable at time of call-in.
Probationary period: 9 months (period for part-time will be equivalent to 9 months of full-time hours). 90 days for employees transferring or bumping into new positions
Safety shoes: $65 or 75% of cost of green patch safety shoes, whichever is greater to be replaced twice per year, once for summer and once for winter.
