Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 1, 2021 to Sept. 30, 2026. Signed on Jan. 16, 2022.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Oct. 1, 2021: 2%

Effective Oct. 1, 2022: 2%

Effective Oct. 1, 2023: 2%

Effective Oct. 1, 2024: 2%

Effective Oct. 1, 2025: 2%

Shift premium: $0.35 per hour for shifts beginning on or after 2 p.m., but before 10 p.m. $0.40 per hour for shifts beginning on or after 10 p.m., but before 6 a.m. $0.75 per hour for all hours worked for employees employed on 4-day continuous shift rotating schedules. $1.85 per hour for all scheduled work performed during 48-hour period following 8 a.m. Saturday. $1 per hour for each hour in training.

Paid holidays: 11 days, plus employee’s floating holidays (1 floating holiday for each 6 months of service).

Overtime: Time and one-half for time worked after 8 or 10 hours in any 24-hour period; time worked after 40 or 44 or 48 hours in workweek; time worked on employee’s first or second scheduled day of rest (depending on 8-, 10- or 12-hour shifts).

Meal allowance: 30-minute paid lunch break and 1 hot dinner or $15 in lieu of dinner after two hours of overtime. Additional 30-minute lunch period will be granted 4 hours later.

Dental: Plan will provide 100% of basic service claims; 85% of claims respecting prosthetic appliances, implants, crown and bridge procedures.

Paramedical: Combined maximum $1,400 per year for chiropractor, naturopath, podiatrist, physiotherapist, massage practitioner, speech therapist, acupuncturist.

AD&D: Coverage of $100,000.

Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000.

Pension: DC plan.

Seniority – recall rights: Maximum 100 working shifts if employee is transferred from bargaining unit to supervisory or staff position. 1 year after layoff to start; 18 months, plus 1 additional month for each year of service, maximum 12 months, after 1 year of service.

Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours at double time.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year for written warnings, final written warnings, suspensions.

Safety shoes: $200 per year. Employees who hold position of blaster operator 1, 2, 3, cable operator 1, 2, fuel/lube-truck operator, shovel crew, shift crew field rovers will be entitled to additional $200 per year.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide 2 pairs of high-visibility coveralls or 2 pairs of high-visibility bib overalls to all employees. 2 pairs of high-visibility insulated coveralls or 2 pairs of high-visibility insulated bib overalls and 1 high-visibility winter jacket will be provided for jobs where employee’s supervisor identifies need for winter gear.

Tool allowance: $0.75, $0.80 or $0.85 per hour based on classification.

Editor’s notes: Humanity fund: Employer will deduct $0.02 per hour from wages of all employees for all hours worked to humanity fund. Hearing aids: $500 per 5 years (including batteries, recharging device, accessories).
