Renewal agreement: Effective June 1, 2018 to May 31, 2022. Ratified on Feb. 27, 2019. Signed on Feb. 27, 2019.

Wage adjustments:
Effective June 1, 2018: 2%
Effective June 1, 2019: 2%
Effective June 1, 2020: 2%
Effective June 1, 2021: 2%

Shift premium: Double time for first hour of calls beginning at 7 a.m. Double time until crew receives 9-hour break for calls beginning before 7 a.m.

Paid holidays: 9 days.

Vacations with pay: Maximum 6 days per calendar year. During first year of employment, days paid at 100% are prorated by number of months of service. Employer will deduct 10% to vacation pay trust fund, IATSE, Local 58.

Overtime: Double time for time worked between 12:01 a.m. and 8 a.m. and anytime on Sundays. Time and one-half for time worked between 5 p.m. and midnight. Two and one-half times straight time rate for time worked on statutory holiday. Triple time for time worked on Christmas Day.

Meal allowance: Employees will be supplied with food, beverages, when performances are played with less than 1 hour between end of 1 performance or work call and start of next performance. Same type of food will not be supplied at 2 consecutive meal breaks.

Medical benefits: Employer will contribute 7% to Health and Welfare Benefit Trust, IATSE Local 58.

Dental: Employer will contribute 1% to dental insurance policy.

Pension: Employer will contribute 5% to Local 58, IATSE retirement savings plan. Employer will pay into Canada Pension Plan.

Bereavement leave: 3 paid days for death of employee’s spouse, partner, child, parent, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, parent-in-law.

Call-in pay: Minimum 5 hours of pay or performance rate for cancellation of performance with less than 12 hours’ notice

Special operators: $48.36 rising 2 steps to $50.32
All others: $47.79 rising 2 steps to $49.72

Performances (not more than 4 hours, beginning 1 hour before performance and ending at final curtain)

Special operators: $190.80 rising 2 steps to $198.51
All others: $183.91 rising 2 steps to $191.34

Editor’s notes: Special performance rates: 2 short concerts occurring within 5-hour call paid at applicable hourly rate. Lectures, audio-visual presentations, and non-auditorium event set-ups and take-outs paid on actual hours worked. Lobby, patio and rehearsal hall operations paid as straight-time 4-hour call. Orchestra rehearsals: Orchestra rehearsals will be paid at rehearsal call rate, including setup, take out (excluding touring orchestras). Education fund: Employer will contribute 0.05% for education fund. Industry fund: Employer will contribute 2% for industry promotion fund. Church services: When Massey Hall or Roy Thomson Hall is operated on Sunday for church service, employees will be given 3-hour minimum pay.
