Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2019 to April 30, 2022. Ratified in May 2019. Signed on July 29, 2019.
Wage adjustments:
Effective June 2, 2019: 2.8%
Effective May 3, 2020: 2.3%
Effective May 2, 2021: 2.3%
Shift premium: 15% for night shift between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. When 3 shifts are operated over 24 hours, 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. receive 8 hours’ pay for 7 hours’ work and 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. receive 8 hours’ pay for 6 hours’ work. $0.40 per hour for employees required to work more than 50 feet above working floor or platform. $0.75 per hour for working more than 100 feet above working floor or platform. $1 per hour for asbestos removers who work second or third shift. $1 per hour for journeymen (foreperson) in charge, plus 3 employees; $3 per hour for journeymen (foreperson) in charge, plus 9 employees; $8 per hour for journeymen (foreperson) in charge, plus 75 employees.
Paid holidays: 10 days.
Overtime: Double time for all work performed Monday to Friday in excess of maximum daily and weekly hours and all hours worked on Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays. For employees whose work week is 36 hours, first 1 hour Monday to Thursday and first 4 hours on Friday are time and one-half. Asbestos removers: Time and one-half for hours worked after 40 in 1 week and 10 in 1 day.
Meal allowance: Employer will provide hot meal or $20 on unscheduled overtime more than 2 hours.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Coverage by Insulators Local 95 Benefit Fund.
Pension: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Coverage by Insulators Local 95 Pension Trust Fund.
Probationary period: 1,200 hours. 600 hours for asbestos removers.
