Wage adjustments:

Shift premium: $1.50 per hour for all hours (other than overtime) that fall between 6 p.m. and 11:59 p.m.; $2 per hour for all hours (other than overtime) that fall between midnight and 6 a.m. (previously $1.50 per hour for all hours worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.).
Paid holidays: 12 days, plus employees will receive 1 half-day away from work with pay for Dec. 24, if date falls on normal day of work.
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 7 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 25 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7.5, 8, 10 or 11 hours per day or 40 hours per week or 120 hours per 21 days. Time and one-half for all work on employee’s day off. Time may be banked, maximum 50 hours. May be taken as time off in lieu.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums for medical plan. Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums for Alberta Health Care fees.
Dental: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums. 100% reimbursement for basic services, preventative, diagnostic, endodontic, periodontal, oral surgery. 50% reimbursement for removable prosthetics (dentures), orthodontics (dependent children up to 21), major restorative.
Vision: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums.
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 75% of basic salary during absences due to sickness or disability, maximum 86 days.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Every eligible employee will join Local Authorities Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of relative (mother, father, brother, sister, wife, husband, common-law spouse, child, foster-child, guardian, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparent of employee). 2 additional days when travel in excess of 400 kilometres each way is necessary.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year following layoff; 18 months if employee goes on income protection, including long-term disability.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours of pay at overtime rates (unless employee is on standby duty).
Probationary period: 6 months for full-time (accumulation of 15 or more days of absence from work will be added to 6-month probationary period); 1,000 working hours for part-time.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for past warning notices, discipline imposed against employee.
Safety shoes: Maximum $200 per year (previously maximum $150 per year) on 50% employer, 50% employee basis.
