Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2023. Signed on April 6, 2022 .

Wage adjustments:

Effective Jan. 1, 2022: 1%

Effective Jan. 1, 2023: 1%

Shift premium: $4.25 per hour for hours worked as working foreman while so designated.

Paid holidays: 13 days, including Christmas floater day.

Vacations with pay: 15 days to start, 20 days after 5 years, 21 days after 11 years, 22 days after 12 years, 23 days after 13 years, 24 days after 14 years, 25 days after 15 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked which are greater than regular hours of work. Time may be banked, maximum 80 hours of banked overtime at any time and must used within 6 months from date worked or it will be paid out.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Sick leave: 1.5 days per month, maximum 75 days (unused leave is not paid out for employees).

LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.

AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Pension: Employer will contribute 8.25% of earnings to union’s pension trust plan. Effective Jan. 1, 2023: 10%.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, spouse, child, stepchild, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, spouse’s grandparent, person who resides in household of employee).

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs.

Probationary period: 90 days worked.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 36 months for written discipline. Employee may ­— during 36-month period from time discipline was given ­— apply to have discipline removed from disciplinary file.

Safety shoes: Employee will be reimbursed, once each year, maximum $250 (previously $200) including GST, for CSA-approved safety boots.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide 1 pair of summer coveralls each year and 1 pair of winter coveralls every 2 years. Once per year, employer will replace 1 pair of summer coveralls provided to employees provided coveralls are in state of disrepair that they require replacing.

Tool allowance: $650 per year for tradespersons, apprentices.

Editor’s notes: Standby: $3.25 per hour (previously $3 per hour) for being on standby. Licensing: Any costs associated with maintaining class 1, 2, 3, or 4 drivers license will be paid by employer and employer will pay all costs for medical as required, maximum $100. Employee will have right to choose medical practitioner. Long-service increment: 5% provided employee (or grader operator with minimum 1,200 regular hours of work per year) has satisfactory performance and after completing 7 years of service. Grader-operator power allowance: $65 each month for 5 months of November to March, maximum $325, for grader operator who plugs in grader at own premises.
