Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2024. Signed on June 23, 2022.

Shift premium: 3% when employee qualifies in acting incumbency position. $2 per hour for working shift where at least half of hours are between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. $2 per hour for work on Saturdays or Sundays.

Paid holidays: 13 days, plus 1 half-day on Christmas Eve. Employees will be entitled to 1 day paid leave, which may be taken at any time during calendar year.

Vacations with pay: 1 day per month to start, 15 days after 1 year, 15 days, plus 1 extra day for each additional year of service, maximum 30 days per year.

Overtime: Paid at double time. Employee may bank overtime hours earned, maximum 80 hours. Time banked must be taken within 12 months of time worked or will be paid out.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums for Alberta Health Care.

Dental: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums.

Vision: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums.

Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums.

Sick leave: 1.5 days for each month of employment, maximum 120 working days, after 3 months of service.

LTD: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums.

AD&D: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums.

Life insurance: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, person who was held out publicly as spouse, parent, parent’s sibling, sibling’s child, guardian, parent-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, child, sibling, sibling-in-law of any of them). Maximum 2 additional travel days where distance to be traveled is greater than 250 kilometres 1-way.

Seniority – recall rights: 6 months after layoff.

Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours of pay at overtime rates.

Probationary period: 60 days or 12 months, whichever comes first. 6 months for new employees hired into supervisory positions within bargaining unit.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for any notice of disciplinary action.

Severance: 2 weeks of salary for each year of service, except that for 1 year of service: 4 weeks of salary; for 2 years of service: 5 weeks of salary (maximum 40 weeks).

Safety shoes: $200 per year for employees required by employer to wear safety footwear.

Uniforms/clothing: $200 per year (previously $175 per year) to all inside workers to assist in maintaining appropriate workplace appearance. Unused portion may be carried over for 1 year only. $200 per year for pool employees to purchase own bathing suits.
