Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2023 to Dec. 31, 2024. Signed on May 1, 2023.
Shift premium: $2 per hour to employees working shift when majority of hours are between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. $2 per hour to employees working shift when majority of hours are between Friday 11 p.m. and Sunday at 11 p.m. $2 per hour to employees working shift when majority of hours are between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks or 6% to start, 4 weeks or 8% after 5 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 10 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 25 years. Employees may carry forward 5 days of accrued vacation into following year
Medical benefits: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums. $350 per year for health spending account.
Dental: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums. Coverage of 100% for basic; 50% for major. Combined maximum of $1,500.
Paramedical: Coverage of $500.
Sick leave: 1 day for every month of employment.
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employee pays 100% of premiums for coverage of annual salary.
Pension: Employee contributions into group RRSP will be matched by employer, maximum 3.4%.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, parents, parents-in-law, siblings, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, children and children’s spouse, grandparents, grandchildren. 2 additional days when travel is required.
Seniority – recall rights: 18 months for employee who accepts out-of-scope position with employer and after layoff.
Call-in pay: Greater of 3 hours of regular pay or overtime pay for actual time worked.
Probationary period: 3 calendar months. If employee has not been satisfactorily evaluated, period may be extended, maximum 3 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Safety shoes: $175 every 2 years.
Mileage: $0.61 per kilometre.
