Renewal agreement: Effective June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2025. Signed on June 1, 2023.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: All employees will receive 6% of earnings in vacation pay on each pay period. Employer will consider vacations at times requested considering business requirements.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 regular straight-time hours per day and 40 regular straight-time hours per week.
Medical benefits: CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund.
STD: Coverage of 60% of weekly earnings, maximum $700 per week.
LTD: Coverage of 60% of weekly earnings, maximum $3,000 per month.
AD&D: Coverage of $100,000.
Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000.
Pension: CLAC group RSP.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of adult interdependent partner, child, legal adult dependent, father, mother, parents in law, legal guardian, brother, sister.
Probationary period: 2 months.
Uniforms/clothing: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety hats, gloves, safety equipment (including safety glasses, fire retardant coveralls), raingear, if and when required, to be made available by employer.
Mileage: $0.70 per kilometre (previously $0.55 per kilometre), minimum travel 300 kilometres, paid to employee as travel allowance. $0.95 per kilometre (previously $0.80 per kilometre) for employees whose classification requires use of own vehicle in performance of duties.

Editor’s notes: Employer-owned vehicles: $35 per day for all employees (foreman, straw boss are excluded) who operate employer-owned pick-up, crew cab, vans which regularly transports other employees and who fuel, clean and inspect vehicle outside of work hours. Union-management meetings: For those held during regular working hours, employee will be paid regular hourly rate. $50 flat fee if meetings are held outside of regular working hours. Fresh-air hoods: Employer will pay (1-time application) for journeyman welders who operate mechanized welder to be reimbursed 50% of cost of fresh-air hood, maximum $1,000.
