Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2023 to Dec. 31, 2025. Signed on April 1, 2023.

Shift premium: $2.50 per hour for lead-hands. $5 per hour for foreperson. $2.50 per hour for night shift.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: Employer will consider vacations at times requested considering business requirements. All construction employees will receive 6% vacation pay (5% for non-construction, maintenance employees; 6% after 5 years of service) for all hours worked, including regular hours, overtime hours, travel time.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.

Meal allowance: On days worked, and when employer is not able to provide warm meal, employee will be entitled to claim cost of 1 warm meal, maximum $15.

Vision: 1-time payment of $250 corrective laser eye surgery.

AD&D: Coverage of $100,000.

Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000.

Pension: Employer will contribute 5% and will match additional employee contribution, maximum 2%, to CLAC group RSP. Additional 1% employer contribution after 8,000 hours worked (uninterrupted, except for trades school attendance or layoff without recall due to shortage of work).

Bereavement leave: 3 days to attend funeral of immediate family (husband, wife, common-law spouse, father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, legal guardian, legal dependant, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandfather, grandmother, grandson, granddaughter).

Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours of pay at time and one-half.

Safety shoes: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety boots where required, furnished by employee.

Uniforms/clothing: All employees will wear safety hats to be made available by employer. Employer will furnish employees with safety equipment (including safety glasses, gloves and 2 pairs of fire-retardant coveralls per year) when required.

Journeyman 3: $41.62

Journeyman 1 instrument technician: $39.91

Journeyman 1 electrician: $39.91

Journeyman 1 maintenance electrician: $39.91

Apprentices

Electrician fourth-year (80%): $31.93

Electrician third-year (70%): $27.94

Electrician second-year (60%): $23.95

Electrician first-year (50%): $19.96

Editor’s notes: On-call: 1.5 hours of pay for each day of week in which employee is on-call. Premium will be paid whether employee is called out or not. Prescription safety eyewear: Employer will reimburse employee 50% of cost for prescription safety eyewear, maximum reimbursement of $250.
