Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2022. Signed on July 1, 2018.
Wage adjustments:
Effective July 1, 2018: 1.5%
Lump-sum payment: After scale adjustment, base salaries will be increased by $750
Differential lump-sum increase: $300 for employees whose June 30, 2018 salaries falls below $122,274 or above $155,879; $600 for employees whose June 30, 2018 salary falls between $122,274 and $155,879
Effective July 1, 2019: 1.5%

Paid holidays: Any day declared as holiday by university president or as statutory holiday by federal or provincial authorities; any other day on which university premises are declared closed by university president.
Vacations with pay: 22 days per year.
Medical benefits: Employees will be given $2,500 (previously $2,250) in flexible benefit credits that they may elect to allocate to either professional expense reimbursement (PER), health care spending account (HCSA) or taxable wellness spending account (WSA).
Sick leave: Full-time employees hired before October 1969, will retain unused portion of sick leave coverage credited to them to June 30, 1972, maximum 26 weeks or 6 months.
STD: Full pay for maximum 15 consecutive weeks (105 consecutive days).
Pension: Employer contributes 8.5% of pensionable earnings to UWO Pension Plan (9% for employees with 20 or more years of full-time service who are contributing 5.5% of pensionable earnings). Employee contributes 5.5% of pensionable earnings or 1.5% if employee elected to make contributions at 1.5% by June 30, 2011. Employee in plan at time of ratification of 2014 collective agreement, and who are currently making contributions at 1.5% may elect at any time to increase contributions to 5.5% of pensionable earnings (election will be irrevocable).
Bereavement leave: Employer will grant compassionate leave to member when death occurs in their family (dean or designate will determine appropriate duration of leave after consultation with employee, considering need to make arrangements for or to attend funeral or memorial service.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for all warnings/reprimands and all documents associated with them; 10 years for complaint of discrimination or harassment.
Severance: 1 month’s salary for each year of service since appointment to academic staff, minimum 6 months’ salary, maximum 24 months’ salary.
Safety shoes: $100 (non-taxable) per year for employees who require safety footwear relevant to workplace.

Editor’s notes: Course cancellations: Where reassignment is not made and part-time employee is given notice of course cancellation before first day of cancelled class, employee will be paid 1-time cancellation stipend of $750. Where part-time employee is given notice that course is cancelled on or after first scheduled class of cancelled course, cancellation stipend will be $1,500. Career trajectory fund: Employer will provide $930 multiplied by number of eligible full-time probationary, tenured, limited-term employees as of June 30, 2021. Faculty start-up grant: Employer will provide at least $7,000 to each new employee on probationary appointment, and each new employee on limited-term appointment whose letter of appointment assigns academic responsibilities in area of research or scholarship activities equivalent to at least 40% of workload ($3,500 for between 20 and 39% of workload). Safety eyewear: Employer will supply safety eyewear at no cost to employee, including prescription safety glasses.
