Wage adjustments:
Effective Dec. 1, 2019: 2%
Effective Dec. 1, 2020: 2.25%
Effective Dec. 1, 2021: 2.50%
Effective Dec. 1, 2022: 2.75%
Paid holidays: 12 days. Employee will be entitled to 1 additional floating paid holiday in each year of service.
Vacations with pay: 1.25 days per month, maximum 15 days to start, 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 5 years, 25 days after 10 years, 30 days after 16 years. Employees who have completed 20, 25, 30 years’ service will receive 1-time only supplemental vacation of 5 days with pay
Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 36.5 hours for first 2 hours; double time thereafter. Double time for on employee’s scheduled day off; for time worked on Sunday; for time worked on holiday. Employees may take time off in lieu of pay.
Meal allowance: 1 half-hour paid meal period to eat meal, paid at employee’s overtime hourly rate of pay, provided overtime is greater than 2 hours of work.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 75% for basic; 50% for crowns/bridges/dentures. 65% for orthodontics, maximum lifetime amount of $3,000 for all eligible employees and dependents.
Vision: $600 every 24 months (once every 12 months for children, 18 and younger).
Paramedical: Maximum $500 for each paramedical practitioner.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: After 200 days’ worked, employer will contribute to RRSP, separately set up. Employer will contribute 10% (previously 9%) (8.5% for part-time employees (previously 8.25%)) of employees’ gross earnings to RRSP; employee may contribute 5% but contributions are optional.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (fiancé, spouse, parent, guardian, children, stepchildren, foster-children, sibling, parent-in-law, stepparents, grandparents, grandchildren, common-law spouses, same-sex partners and their children, as long as they live with employee as member of employee’s family). 3 days for death of grandparents-in-law, sibling-in-law, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew. 1 day to attend funeral.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year after layoff, for employee with 6 months or more of service.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours’ or for time worked, whichever is greater (travel time to and from employee’s residence will be considered time worked).
Probationary period: 90 working days.
Severance: 1 week of pay for each year of service, maximum 20 weeks of pay, after 2 years or more of service.
