Renewal agreement: Effective July 13, 2021 to April 30, 2024. Ratified in July 2021. Signed on Aug. 9, 2021.

Wage adjustments:

Effective July 13, 2021: 9.8%

Effective May 1, 2022: 2.6%

Effective May 7, 2023: 2.5%
Shift premium: 8 hours’ pay for 7 hours worked for occupied premises work. Foreman receives $1 per hour above normal rate.

Paid holidays: 9 days. Employer will pay 11% as vacation and holiday pay.

Overtime: Time and one-half for any time worked in excess of regular working day and all work performed on Saturday, Sunday or paid holiday.

Medical benefits: Employer contributes to employee welfare plan.

Pension: Employer contributes to pension plan.

Mileage: $75 per day for all work located beyond radius of 60 kilometres of intersection of Carling and Preston Streets.

Sample rates of pay (current, after 5.1% increase):

High-rise apartments or condominiums: $35.66 rising 2 steps to $37.48

Low-rise housing including townhouses: $30.11 rising 2 steps to $31.91

Sample rates of piecework pay (current, after 5.1% increase):

Taping apartment building: $315 per 1,000 square feet rising 2 steps to $360

Taping apartment building (smooth ceilings): $850 per 1,000 square feet rising 2 steps to $898

Taping apartment building (texture spray): $283 per 1,000 square feet rising 2 steps to $299

Taping apartment building (sanding): $69 per 1,000 square feet rising 2 steps to $77

Taping wood-frame residential construction: $280 per 1,000 square feet rising 2 steps to $294

Taping wood-frame residential construction (sanding): $68 per 1,000 square feet rising 2 steps to $76

Taping wood-frame residential (texture spray): $206 per 1,000 square feet rising 2 steps to $218

Taping wood-frame residential (skylights): $105 per skylight rising 2 steps to $128

Sample rates of pay (current):

Apprentices

First 1,200-hour work period: 50%

Second 1,200-hour work period: 65%

Third 1,200-hour work period: 80%

Fourth 1,200-hour work period: 90%

Fifth 1,200-hour work period: 90%
