Renewal agreement: Effective Dec. 20, 2019 to Dec. 10, 2022. Ratified on Dec. 19, 2019. Signed on Dec. 20, 2019.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Dec. 10, 2020: 2.25%

Effective Dec. 10, 2021: 2.25%

Shift premium: $3 per hour for shift starting between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. $1 per hour for lead-hand mechanic.

Vacations with pay: 1 day per completed month of service or 4%, up to 10 days to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for time worked after 9 hours in 1 day or 44 hours in 1 week.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for group insurance benefits.

Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $250 per year plus $100 per year for eye exam.

STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Pension: Employer matches employee contributions of 3% of gross earnings to company RSP plan.

Bereavement leave: 3 paid working days for death of parent, sibling, spouse, child, parent-in-law, child-in-law, sibling-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, spouse’s grandparent.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs; 6 months for employee who is promoted to position outside bargaining unit.

Probationary period: 60 days worked.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for any action or decision.

Safety shoes: $300 twice per year.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides new uniforms following completion of probationary period — driver/loaders receive 5 T-shirts with pockets, 5 long-sleeve T-shirts/sweatshirts with pockets, 5 pants, 1 summer jacket or heavyweight fleece, 1 rain suit, 1 winter parka or bomber or vest every 2 years. Mechanics receive 5 shirts, 5 pants, 5 coverall changes per week, 1 winter parka, 1 set of insulated coveralls, rain coats. Winter gear and cleaning service for maintenance employees.

Tool allowance: Mechanics receive up to $375 twice per year.

Front-end: $29.74 rising in 1 step to $30.41

Roll-off/boom truck driver: $28.72 rising in 1 step to $29.37

Swing: $29.80 rising in 1 step to $30.47

Rear/side (resi): $26.59 rising in 1 step to $27.18

Tractor trailer: $29.91 rising in 1 step to $30.58

Loader thrower/registered apprentice: $21.47 rising in 1 step to $21.96

Licensed mechanic: $38.34 rising in 1 step to $39.21

Apprentice 2: $27.10 rising in 1 step to $27.71

Apprentice 3: $32.21 rising in 1 step to $32.93

Licensed welder: $27.61 rising in 1 step to $28.23

Container maintenance: $18.06 rising in 1 step to $18.46

Tire maintenance: $25.05 rising in 1 step to $25.61

Sorter/yard maintenance: $19.17 rising in 1 step to $19.60

Equipment operator: $24.54 rising in 1 step to $25.09
