Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2021. Signed on Dec. 29, 2020.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 2%
Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 1.25%
Effective Jan. 1, 2021: 1%
Shift premium: $2 per hour more than forklift operator rate for lead-hands.
Paid holidays: 10 days at 8 hours of pay per day off; all highway drivers will receive 10 hours of pay per day off.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years. Employee laid off or leaving employer before completion of 1 full year of service, will be entitled to pro-rated vacation with pay computed on same percentage of gross wages during portion of year worked.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums.
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employer will contribute $0.50 per hour (previously $0.35 per hour) to Teamsters Canadian Pension Plan
(TCPP). Effective July 1, 2021: $0.75 per hour.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of members of employee’s family, as specified in Canada Labour Code.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year after layoff.
Call-in pay: Any employee who is called in to work on overtime day, will be guaranteed 4 hours of pay and if employee works more than 4 hours, employee will be guaranteed 6 hours of pay. Any employee reporting for duty on call-in or call-back basis will be guaranteed minimum of 4 hours of pay at overtime rate but after completion of duty employee was called in for, employee may book off with minimum of 2 hours of pay .
Probationary period: 90 days. Probationary rates of pay will be $2 per hour less than prevailing rate.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply, at no cost to employee, fire-retardant coveralls, where required on specified sites. Employer will supply coveralls on exchange basis to all employees on worn or damaged basis. Regular employees will receive safety clothing allowance of $200 per year, on remittance of receipt for such clothing, which meets CSA approval, and will be worn at work.

Picker-trucks operator: $37.87 rising 2 steps to $38.72
Winch-truck operator: $35.03 rising 2 steps to $35.82
Straight-truck operator: $32.74 rising 2 steps to $33.48
Forklift operator: $33.28 rising 2 steps to $34.04
Swamper: $24.76 rising 2 steps to $25.32
Pipe-yard labourer: $23.94 rising 2 steps to $24.24
Sample rates of hourly pay (current):
Apprentice picker operators: $2 per hour less than established picker operator rate (upon completion of apprenticeship, employee will receive full rates of pay contained in collective agreement).
Signing bonus: All active employees will be paid 1-time lump sum signing bonus of $300 on first pay following ratification.
Editor’s notes: Medical examinations: Employer will pay for any medical examinations required by employer. Drivers who have completed 1 or more years of employment and who are required to take government physical or medical examinations for vehicle operators’ license will make it available to employer for copying. Non-driving time: For drivers only, all non-driving time related to miscellaneous activity such as washing equipment, truck repairs, will be paid at rate equal to pipe-yard labourer classification. Overnight stays: Employer will pay for reasonable cost of hotel room and meals for each employee who is required to remain away from home terminal on overnight basis (where camp facilities are available, employee will receive board and lodging at no cost to employee). On-call pay: 2 hours of pay per day where employer requires employees to remain on call and available for weekends or long weekends and employees receives no call- ins during designated period. Teamsters union/industry advancement fund: Employer will contribute $0.05 per hour to Teamsters union/industry advancement fund.
