Renewal agreement: Effective June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2023. Signed on Jan. 18, 2021.
Wage adjustments:
Effective June 1, 2019: 2.5%
Effective June 1, 2020: 2%
Effective June 1, 2021: 2%
Effective June 1, 2022: 2%
Shift premium: 10% when employee performs duties of higher classification level on acting basis.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 1 1/4 days per month to start, 1 2/3 days per month after 3 years, 2 1/12 days per month after 6 years. Under exceptional circumstances — where employee has been unable to take vacation because of operational requirements — employee may be permitted to carry forward up to 1 year’s annual vacation entitlement for use in next fiscal year.
Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
Sick leave: 11.25 hours for each month.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, stepparent, brother, sister, spouse, common-law spouse, child, stepchild, foster-child, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, any relative residing in employee’s household). Up to 3 additional days, without pay, for travel if family member resides outside of Fort Smith or ceremonies take place outside of Fort Smith.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoff.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of pay at straight-time rate.
Probationary period: 975 hours worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for any document or written statement related to disciplinary action.

Editor’s notes: Resignation revocation: Employee will be permitted to revoke resignation at any time within 48 hours of act of resignation. Winter holiday bonus: Each employee will be entitled to annual winter holiday bonus equivalent to 2% of employee’s gross salary, between April 1 and Oct. 31 of same year. Standby pay: 1 hour’s pay for each 24 consecutive hours or portion thereof on standby. Self-care leave: Employees will be entitled to use up to 16 hours of sick leave for self-care.
