Canadian HR Reporter unveils this year's top employers – based on key metrics and employee feedback
Canadian HR Reporter is pleased to present the Employers of Choice 2026, based on several key metrics that include culture, diversity, compensation and benefits — along with in-depth employee surveys.
In looking at this year’s list of winners, these aren’t companies that employees tolerate — they are companies that employees choose.
All 28 cleared the 75 per cent satisfaction threshold required to quality, and the top scorer hit an impressive 93.5 per cent.
Some winners built flexibility and recognition into daily culture; others leaned on structured development and measurable community impact; and several combined both, regardless of sector.
Nevertheless, they all had the same result: high satisfaction.
“Being an employer of choice increasingly comes down to the quality of the employment relationship itself, not just compensation and perks,” says Langlois in the special report for the Employers of Choice 2026, adding that “strong leadership may be the most underrated lever of all.”
This year’s award-winning employers include:
- Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville
- City of Vaughan
- Hansen's Group of Companies
- Atlantic Beef Products Inc.
- Kryton International Inc.
