IHSA announces interim president

Al Beattie takes the helm at Ontario's Infrastructure Health and Safety Association

A new interim CEO has been appointed for the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA), one of Ontario’s Partners in Prevention.

Al Beattie, formerly IHSA’s vice-president of prevention, specialty services, is assuming the rule of interim president and CEO, reporting to and working with IHSA’s newly established board of directors.

The past year has been a time of “substantial change” for the IHSA, it said, with the amalgamation of legacy associations.

Beattie takes over from former CEO Michael Delisle, who has “decided to move on to new endeavours,” according to the IHSA, which thanked him for all his hard work.

“I look forward to working with all of the industries we serve to prevent occupational illness and injury in Ontario,” said Beattie. “I am committed to demonstrating our value as a prevention partner for both employers and workers.”
