Ministry of Labour releases video featuring two inspectors discussing compliance with province's new workplace violence and harassment legislation

Ontario’s Ministry of Labour has released a video to help employers understand their responsibilities under Bill 168, Ontario’s new workplace violence and harassment legislation.

In the video (scroll down to view it), two Ministry of Labour inspectors — Debbie Pravlochack, an industrial inspector and health care lead, and Kevin Brown, an occupational health and safety inspector with the construction program — talk about the new legislation including:

•definitions of workplace violence and harassment

•conditions that put workers at high risk

•what happens when inspectors arrive on site, and what they’re looking for.
