P.E.I. looking for feedback on WCB policies

Province seeking comments on changes to policies including assessment billing

The Workers Compensation Board of Prince Edward Island is looking for feedback on several policies that are under review or have changes approved in principle.

The board has approved changes in principle to its policies on health care providers and review of benefits. The public can provide feedback on the draft policies by June 13.

The WCB is reviewing policies on assessment billing, clearance certificates, audit of employer accounts and monthly payment options. Comments and suggestions on these policies will be accepted until June 10.

It is also reviewing policies on the following policies, with comments due by May 29:

•benefit of doubt

•carpal tunnel syndrome

•federal/provincial jurisdiction

•offset of outstanding assessments against benefits due

•retroactive assessment of non-registered employers

•service awards

•telephone emergency response system

•transfer of employer cost experience

•workplace harassment

•workplace health and safety
