Saskatchewan seeks feedback on OHS amendments

Deadline for submissions is May 20

The government of Saskatchewan is seeking feedback on amendments on Occupational Health and Safety legislation.

The proposed amendments include sufficiency of current penalties, benefits of alternative penalties and whether revenue from penalties should be partially directed to education and prevention.

“The proposed amendments are aimed at improving workplace health and safety to help us achieve Mission: Zero," said Don Morgan, Labour Relations and Workplace Safety Minister.

The ministry has sent packages to approximately 200 stakeholders and 5,400 Occupational Health Committees asking them to participate in the process.
