Survey covers areas such as group terminations, vacation time
Alberta is asking the public for feedback to make sure potential changes to its employment standards are “well-informed.”
The online survey delves into areas such as accrued vacation time entitlement, youth employment rules, hours of work averaging agreements, group terminations, temporary layoff notices, termination pay, administrative penalties, employee’s statement of earnings and variances and exemptions.
“We are committed to getting Albertans back to work, which is why we moved quickly to pass the Open for Business Act in the spring. Now we want to hear from the public on how we can continue to make Alberta’s employment rules simpler and more efficient. I encourage everyone to go online and submit their thoughts,” says Jason Copping, minister of labour and immigration.
