Maritime Life, Irving Oil among the winners at the 2004 Atlantic Canada Human Resources Awards
HR practitioners from across Atlantic Canada gathered in Moncton recently to honour individuals and companies for excellence in human resources.
The 2004 Atlantic Canada Human Resources Awards (ACHRA) were handed out at the third annual reunion of the Associations of Human Resources for New Brunswick, Nova Scotia/Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador.
"The sixteen Finalists confirmed the depth of quality within the human resources profession in Atlantic Canada today." said David Cannon, chairperson of ACHRA. "This is both needed and welcomed as our Maritime economy evolves into one of knowledge workers employed in an increasingly complex business environment." said Cannon.
The 2004 winners in the four categories were:
New human resources leader: Cindy Goucher – xwave
Strategic partnership team: Maritime Life
Human resources innovation: Irving Oil Ltd.
Excellence in human resources: George Raine – Montana HR Services
