The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is planning to turn its Tables on Diskette (TOD) program into an interactive, online program, beginning next year.
The new Internet-based program, tentatively called Payroll Deductions Online Calculator, will have the same features as TOD, but will be easier to access and is expected to have fewer technical problems, according to CRA officials.
The CRA is planning to phase-out the TOD CDs. As a result, only a limited number of copies of the 2007 version will be available. As of January 1, 2007, the online product will be available for free.
The agency says it will provide more information on the change in coming months.
